I recently purchased this unit at my local Meijer while it was on sale. I now know why it was on sale. They wanted to get rid of them. I was anticipating some good ice cream, not ice cream soup. The machine shut off 15 min after running and wouldn't come back on until the motor cooled down. Also, the machine was pretty loud for such a small device. I took the noise-maker back to the store. After doing some more shopping at Meijer, my curiosity got the better of me to go look at a different ice cream maker. But, I discovered they put the one I returned as damaged back on the shelf for another go (I put a mark on the box). I definitely don't recommend this product and I hope you're not the person to get the one I returned.
