We used this fondue pot for beef/chicken fondue a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Got the oil to temp in good time. I like the shallow, wide design of the pot compared to my old standard deep, sterno-driven pot. I just wish the Rival had a lid to go with it.Customer Review: A++++

This is the perfect little pot for entertaining or for keeping the kids entertained (with supervision, of course). It's easy to create lots of possibilities and a snap to clean up. I love that I don't have to transfer from another pot. Cheese melts quickly and stays perfectly warm. The recipes included are great. I used this fondue maker the day after I recieved it and I must say, I was surprised. It's a great fondue pot, it heats up super fast, and it stays heated. Also, you can control the temperature, which I love. The cord is super short, so you need an extension cord which might not look so pretty on a nicely set table, but that didn't stop us. ... And I had those for 15 and 20 years. Last year one finally stopped getting as hot as it used to (and as hot as the other one), so I bought two at Target today. They have a $24.99 special this week and you get a $5 gift card too. What a deal!
We also have fondue for Christmas Eve... a great tradition that everyone loves, and god forbid I suggest we have something else! It's nice to have several pots so that the transition from cheese to broth/oil to chocolate is simpler.
